Why a mens only yoga class?

Because guys are just shaped differently to girls.

Blokes Yoga by Healthy Brothers has been developed to spend more time opening areas traditionally tighter on males like shoulders and hamstrings. Increasing your flexibility also builds muscle – especially if you’re already training in the gym, playing sport, surfing, or cycling.

Join Matt Butler for an hour of fun in an easy-going space where it doesn’t matter if you’ve never stepped on a yoga mat before.

Mats, blocks and straps provided.

Inflexibility welcome!

Resistance training

Resistance training involves activities that use weights, machines and even body weight to work out the muscles. We will create a program that builds and tones the muscles to give your body a stronger and better look.

Muscle development

Whether it’s muscle toning or growth, we will use over ten years of resistance training experience to create a program that suits your goals.

By using resistance training to build just half a kilo of muscle you can burn an extra 300 calories per day.

Weight control

Whether you are trying to lose 3 kilos or more than 30, the same principles determine how much weight you lose and how fast your weight loss will occur.

Healthy Brothers will teach you that following simple habits and putting them into practice can lead to weight loss without the aid of any special diet plans, books, or medications.

Teen & kids fitness

You’re never too young to start a fitness program with Healthy Brothers. Being healthy and active early in life is directly linked to your health as an adult.

Our PD/H/PE teacher and personal trainer will create a program that will give you the skills to lead a healthy adult life.

School Holiday Clinics

School holiday clinics are an opportunity for children aged 5-14 to get active in the school holidays whilst learning a range of different skills. It’s all about participation and providing children with an opportunity for physical activity in a fun and non threatening environment.

Our multi sport theme is designed by a physical education teacher / personal trainer and allows children to explore a range of different sports and activities while developing fundamental motor skills.

Pre & post natal fitness

Having a baby is not easy (so I’ve heard). But it can be made easier with a safe exercise program to help prepare your body for the trials of pregnancy.
Exercise during pregnancy is ideal for women who are considered low risk. We will also design a program for you to help you get your pre-baby body back.

Nutritional guidance

Healthy Brothers provides clients with nutritional guidance to assist the in achieving their health and fitness goals. We teach you healthy habits and routines which you can sustain long term which will allow you to make the most of your lifestyle and health.

Mental well being

As mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety and learning difficulties increase, the benefits of exercising to combat many of the devastating symptoms are now being widely accepted.

A landmark Australian study in 2005 followed resistance training for depressed patients. It found that moderate-resistance weight training reduced the level of depression in one test group by up to 40 per cent.

Stressed? It’s time to get lifting.
